Happy 4th of July!

Greetings!  No fireworks for me tonight. They don’t celebrate the 4th of July in England where I’ve been the last week.

I’m having a blast! Have seen friends from Norwich and Glasgow – we did a tour of the Globe Theatre, which didn’t exist back in the 1190s.  My week, thus far:

  • 2 day conference with academic & library types at the British Library
  • touring
    • Blenheim Palace
    • Leeds Castle
    • Canterbury Cathedral
    • lunch overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover – pictures to follow I hope
  • a play – Mint – starring Sam Troughton at the Royal Court Theatre, where, in 2010, I saw Joe Armstrong in The Empire

Today, we’re off to Oxford, Stratford & the Cotswolds. I’m exhausted. And loving every minute of it.

  1. It was lovely to meet you last weekend. I’m looking forward to all your pictures and hearing more about where you went and what you saw. Enjoy the rest of your stay in the UK.
