Greetings! No fireworks for me tonight. They don’t celebrate the 4th of July in England where I’ve been the last week.
I’m having a blast! Have seen friends from Norwich and Glasgow – we did a tour of the Globe Theatre, which didn’t exist back in the 1190s. My week, thus far:
- 2 day conference with academic & library types at the British Library
- touring
- Blenheim Palace
- Leeds Castle
- Canterbury Cathedral
- lunch overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover – pictures to follow I hope
- a play – Mint – starring Sam Troughton at the Royal Court Theatre, where, in 2010, I saw Joe Armstrong in The Empire
Today, we’re off to Oxford, Stratford & the Cotswolds. I’m exhausted. And loving every minute of it.
