I spent Saturday working on the last tweaks to the first draft of Battle Scars.
The manuscript has been shipped to editing.
Did I mention the sequel? I haven’t touched it since May. I plan to spend a week or two re-reading the 16,000 words I’d written earlier this year. That should get the brain wrapped around the events in England in the spring of 1193. King Richard is being held captive by the Holy Roman Emperor, and his brother John is trying to steal his throne. We know how that turns out, but how do Henry de Grey, Stephan l’Aigle, and their friends figure into the plot? Who is friend and who is foe? Politics, intrigue, and a bit of romance lie ahead.
Great news on Battle Scars. I’m looking forward to reading the finalised version.
Welcome back from vacation! And yes, I agree – it’s nice to be able to set the mss. aside for a couple of months before I have to face another round of revisions. 🙂
Congratulations. Finishing up going over the first proof of mine.
Thank you! And happy proofing to you!
