Oxford vacation pictures

Mondays always come too soon. I poured myself into revisions of Battle Scars and had company over the weekend, so I’ll just post a few pictures of Christ Church College at Oxford University this morning.

Christ Church wasn’t established until the 1500s, so if Sir Henry passed through the area on his way from Lincolnshire to Southampton in Battle Scars, he would’ve seen nothing more than a monastery and the cloisters, which I understand were built in the 12th century. However, had Henry gone to university, it’s likely he would have been taught at Oxford, which was a center for teaching decades before Henry was born.

In an “other-worldly” note, the Great Room and many of the buildings of Christ Church were the inspiration for Hogwarts and used as filming locations for Harry Potter.

Enjoy!

🙂 I think so, too! This was one of those guided tours & they rushed us through. I would’ve taken 100s of pics if I’d had a day to explore.
