What a week! I’m trying to put this into perspective. Coming down off the high of my book cover reveal on Monday. Now I’m just plain nervous as hell. ๐
It’s hard to concentrate. I’m working my way through revisions on the last 40-50 pages of Keeping the Family Peace. Getting ready to birth this baby. It’s a labor of love. It’s painful. I’ve spent years working on these 90,000+ words. Some of them are even good. I think I’ve covered all the plot holes, tied up all the loose ends. Beta readers, writers group, and editors seem to think so. I’m ready to let it go. I want to let it go. Then I can go stick my head in the sand. ๐
How do you like my new blog header? My son Joel made it for me. Isn’t it grand?
The interesting thing is I know what to expect. I won’t repeat it here, but point you to a blog post by Colin F. Barnes, who published his first novel last week. He captured the moments perfectly.

I have writers group tonight so I actually get a break from novel revisions. I’m glad for the short break – I get to head back to the 12th century to read the next part of my crusader novella to the group. The upcoming scene is not pretty. Sad news from England. Lovers quarrel. Break out the tissues!
