I’m beginning to wonder if writing in multiple genres is a genetic trait. You already know about me and my fiction if you’ve read the About page. My oldest son writes music (some for his day job!). And like me, he composes in multiple genres. He has published everything from kids songs to electronica; he scored (and edited – the day job) a documentary called Corrosion Comprehension, narrated by LeVar Burton and available from https://www.corrdefense.org/ReferenceLibrary.aspx, and his newest endeavors range from folk to orchestral music.
We had some great discussions on marketing our works and using social media during his visit over the holidays. We talked about the problems of keeping a fan base when the muse takes us in many different directions. But we both agree. We must follow our hearts, write from our souls. At least we will be happy.
